Custom SF Symbols, in every weight
Draw a symbol once, or bring your SVG icons. SymbolKit generates the weights Apple’s tools need, so your symbols follow the text from Ultralight to Black, as Apple’s own do.

A custom symbol needs three masters, Ultralight, Regular and Black, with paths so alike that Apple’s tools can derive every weight between them. Drawn by hand in Figma or Illustrator, that is a designer’s job, and the hard part of it.
SymbolKit draws the masters for you, compatible by construction. Your symbol thickens and thins with the text beside it, at every weight and scale.
Two ways in, one way out
For developers of apps for Apple’s platforms who would rather not open a design tool, and for designers who want a symbol fast.
Draw
Lines, arcs, circles, rounded rectangles and polylines, drawn as strokes on a grid that snaps to the template’s guides. No design tool to learn.
Convert
Bring SVG icons, one or a folder’s worth. Stroke icons, such as Lucide’s, Tabler’s and Feather’s, keep their strokes and get true weights; filled icons get theirs by offsetting their outlines.
Export
Templates the SF Symbols app accepts and Xcode renders at every weight and scale. Drag them into an asset catalog, and use them beside Apple’s.
See the engine at work
Open Symbols converts ten open-source icon libraries, Lucide, Tabler, Phosphor and more, to SF Symbols with SymbolKit’s engine: nearly 30,000 symbols, each shown at every weight, free to download.
